Our Highlights From Japan January 24 Edition

The Snow Concierge team have spent the past month in Japan visiting ski resorts, meeting with suppliers, and road-testing various hotels, bars, and restaurants all in the name of research (it’s tough work but someone has to do it!)

Having spent Christmas and New Year in Tokyo (surely the world’s greatest city) with a little Yokohama time on the side, we ventured to Iwate and Fukushima prefectures for some snow, all the while looking after our amazing clients on the ground, who were all living the dream in Niseko, Hakuba, Appi Kogen and everywhere in between.

So, as we look down the barrel of our last weekend in Tokyo for a short while, here are a few of our highlights:

  • Favourite meal - ‘Christmas’ dinner at a hole in the wall izakaya in Azabujuban. My kind of Christmas (sorry Mum and Dad!)

  • Favourite activity - Tokyo bike tour on New Year’s Day.

  • Favourite resort - So hard to choose…but we had some EPIC powder days at Appi Kogen.

  • Favourite new restaurant - A sensational (and tiny) tempura restaurant in Yokohama. It was so good we went back again the next night!

  • Favourite new hotel - the newly opened Hotel Toranomon Hills. Not only are the rooms, location and service on point, it makes an excellent base to work from.

  • Favourite new bar - a stand up whisky bar in the backstreets of Ginza that holds just four customers (at a squeeze).

We’re always on the lookout for fun and unique experiences and can’t wait to share these and many more of our new faves with our clients.

If you’re keen to book for the 2024/ 2025 Season, then don’t hesitate to reach out, we’d love to hear from you!

Wishing you Peace, Love and Powder Days. ❄️
